San Diego | Luis' & Lizz's Adventures

Welcome to another adventure post.  As I mentioned before, Luis & I went to San Diego to celebrate his birthday and Valentine's Day. We went for a weekend and during our duration in San Diego we saw and ate! I want to say majority of the trip we ate more than we actually went sight seeing. I do want to apologize in advance because I recorded more than I actually took pictures. With that being said, I hope you enjoy my reading.

Day 1

When we first arrived to SD, we went to Sweet Roll Ice Cream. It is was rolled ice cream, but it wasn't anything special. We had gone to try it because they had recently opened the business and also because it was Luis' first time experiencing and trying rolled ice cream.
For dinner we went to RB Sushi. I don't completely remember what we ordered, but there were a total of three rolls and fried calamari. Everything was great except the roll on the bottom left and the fried calamari. Other than that, we ate good that night.
After sushi, we went to Belmont Park.  Our understanding is that its a pier, but since we went at night time and it was raining we only went to the arcade. Not going to lie, playing arcade games was so much fun because we're both hella competitive. That night we also both played laser tag and it was fun yet so confusing. All I know is that we lost, but its okay because it was both our first time. Honestly, I wish we could've gone back because we had so much fun that night, and I could only imagine during the day.

Day 2

For breakfast, we had an ideal spot but when we arrived we saw it packed. And course with us, we were starving. At that moment, Swami's Cafe North Park was close and had low waiting time. And wow! The food was amazing and its definitely a place I recommend. My only complaint is that one of my eggs were over cooked (it's not that serious).
After breakfast we went to the San Diego Zoo; which is the main thing on our itinerary. This section will be short since I have already post our adventure, here.
On our exploring moment we found Liberty Public Market and oh my goodness. I loved it. Unfortunately, when we got there they were closing soon, so all we did was walk around and look into the restaurants and locations. That night we ended up getting dessert, but of course no picture nor do I remember the place, but it was nothing major.

Day 3

On our last morning, we decided to go to Liberty Public Market again, but to make sure we actually tried food. We both LOVE food, I mean LOVE! And we love to try new foods, so its exactly what we did. We ate crepes at Olala Crepes, arancini at Roma Express, and swamp fries at Cane Patch Kitchen.  Everything was so good, yet so fun. I definitely recommend going to Liberty Public Market and trying their foods or just to look around.
The surrounding of Liberty Public Market there are nice views and a couple of museums.
Our last stop was Old Town San Diego. I wish I had more photos but it was raining so we spent majority of the time inside of shops. However, I definitely felt in touch with my latinx side. I loved the culture there! I would love to come back to Old Town to see more and be able to try their foods as well.

I hope you enjoyed our San Diego trip! I come to realize that I capture more videos than actual photos which I found a bit difficult to put together. However, I do recommend Swami's Cafe North Park and Liberty Public Market for food and to explore. I do wish to go back and be able to explore more and enjoy the city when its not raining.

Have you ever been to San Diego? If so, where exactly have you gone?

Thank you,
Lizz

  2. SD looked like so much fun. I have yet to plan trip to SD as an "adult." I've been there before but as a teen but it's definitely a place on my list. I heard they have really good breweries out there.

    1. I think you would enjoy SD! I like going to breweries but Luis is not really a drinker which is why we didn't visit places like those or do any nightlife scene.
