Packing 101

When it comes to packing two things always happens: 1. You end up forgetting something. 2. You either over/under pack. #Relatable. So I made you & I an easy "packing guide."

1. ALWAYS check your airlines baggage policy. If you are traveling by airplane it's key, because all flights have a weight limit and that will help you decide if you need to upgrade your baggage policy or take some things out.

2. Check the weather where you're traveling to. You wouldn't want to take long sleeves/sweaters to a place where its in the high 80s-90s degrees or vice versa.

3. Make a list of everything you need. Making a list will help guide you on what you need to buy/pack.

4. Gather all your clothes for the days travel. Don't over pack, because you most likely not use all the clothes, make sure to count the days.

5. To save space in your luggage, roll your clothes.  TRUST ME ON THIS ONE.

6. Pack comfortable shoes. Wherever you go you'll most likely walk a lot, so I suggest some comfortable shoes, *you'll thank me later*.

7. Take advantage of all the pockets the luggage has. Every pocket counts and don't forget some luggage has a zipper where you can make it a bit bigger.

8.  Take a small bag to put in all your toiletries. Not necessarily small but a bag where you can put your shampoo, medicine, toothpaste, make up, etc. Separate so they don't spill on your belongings.

9. Take a backpack/carryon for your valuables. Valuables such as: chargers, wallet, sunglasses, etc.

10. Make sure you got all the paperwork you need. (If traveling outside the country). Just don't forget your passport.

Most importantly, HAVE FUN & BE SAFE!

Review: CREPES DE PARIS

I happened to be at Victoria Gardens when I came across Crepes De Paris.

The restaurant is the smallest restaurant I've seen and it's hidden! It's inside of Victoria Gardens, but the streets are Monte Ave and S. Mainstreet. The only way I was able to spot it was because of the cute little oval sign.

This is legit a Crepes Restaurant. I saw the menu and I was extremely overwhelmed. I wasn't hungry for a meal at time but I knew I wanted to give it a try. So I automatically looked at the Sweet Crepes. I first had tried crepes at San Jose and I've never really found one down here in Socal but I'm happy to say that I've came across one. This is the first all crepes restaurant I've seen/been too.

When I say its the smallest, its the smallest. There's a good four tables inside; two tables are for a family of four and the other two are for couples. They have a little outside patio (as seen above picture #2); three couple tables and that's all. After ordering they'll give you a number and you'll wait at  your table until they bring you the food.

I ordered The Royal: Nutella, fresh strawberries, bananas, chocolate, Chantilly cream and powered sugar. The Royal costs $9.95, I thought it was a bit pricy but then I thought about where the restaurant is located and the size of the crepe. It was well plated and they were not stingy with the fillings. The crepe was loaded with strawberries and bananas. Every bite had a fruit in it, but I will say this DRINK ONLY WATER! It was extremely sweet! I had to wash it down with three water cups.

FINAL THOUGHTS.
Does Liz Recommend? Yes, although it's far and pricy its good and they are known for crepes.
Pros: Good food. Fulfilling. Nice view (outside seating area).
Cons: Hard to find. Pricey. Small restaurant. Far in distance.
Out of 5 Stars? 4 stars
Last Words: When I said its hidden, its hidden. The exact address: 7876 Monet Ave, Rancho Cucamonga, Ca 91739. Its on the side of JCP in Victoria Gardens. PSA: Although I tried one thing off the menu I don't guarantee all the food is good. I did look into YELP reviews and none were negative. All this is based on MY experience! Don’t be afraid and give it a try.

Monthly Goals: March's spring cleaning

So every month I have goals, if you've read Reflection of 2016 & New year goals for 2017 , you know what I'm talking about. I talked about my January's Goals and my February's Goals. I'm here to only talk about one of March's Goal: Spring cleaning. I like to hoard when it comes to clothes, but then again I tend to clean my clothes out every four months I went through my entire clothes and I found some interesting pieces:
I went through and I found these 11 tops that  I've never worn before except for one. If you guys know me, know that I always complain that I never have clothes. The entire bottom picture (8 shirts) have tags on them still. The mustard top on the top left hand corner I only wore it once and that was for a picture that lasted 2 minutes. I took off the tag off of two shirts  because I WAS going to wear them but I ended up changing my mind. Do you have any shirts you never worn before?

So this is a picture of some of my shirts and skirts that I have in the same design. I know I talked about buying the same shirt design, but just in different colors in, 10 Facts About Me. Can I explain why I have the most basic skirts and shirts? I used to work at Sunglass Hut, and I always had to wear "professional clothes." Yes, I had to buy skirts because I didn't own any. So, I bought myself four skirts all in different colors, I was desperate. & as well as the five tops because like always I was never prepare for something "professional." Although these shirts are not professional, all I had to do was tuck it in and wear a cardigan, ha. Do you have any repeat clothing?

Fun Fact: Every time I have a "big" event I have to always go buy a "top." Why? I honestly have no idea, I just like to believe I have no clothes, and that is the reason why I need to shop. So, when I was going through my clothes I realized some of the shirts I've only worn once. I tried to remember when I worn them and somehow its because of a party. The funny thing about these 8 shirts is that that have all been up on Instagram. I guess you can say if I already posted on IG I wont wear it again? I mean I don't know if this theory is correct, but after realizing that I am going to start wearing these shirts more often. *eye roll* Do you have any piece of clothing that you've only worn once?

Advice to self vVv.

After cleaning and throwing away clothes, I ended up with:
Bottoms (Pjs, shorts, sweats): 20
Jeans: 9
Shorts: 10
Skirts: 6
Sweaters: 12
T-shirts: 17
Tops: 74

Have you done your spring cleaning?

Five Broken Bones, One Dumb Girl

In my 10 Facts About Me blog, I've mentioned that I broke five of my bones: left leg, right arm, left arm 2x, and my left foot. Many don't know how I broke them or they only know about the most recent one. Not to worry thought, I'm here to share with you my fragile bones stories:

Left Leg:
I was five years old at the time. It was during one night that I was playing with my little cousins Jesse and Jasson. & we played the entire afternoon and night, but towards the end... Have you ever heard about the, "Five little monkeys jumping on the bed?" Well honestly, that's what happened. Jesse & I were jumping on the bed, when he decided to jump from the bed to a set of drawers. The drawer was at least a foot higher than the bed. & well I saw Jesse (cousin) jump from the bed to the drawers, so I TRIED it as well. TRIED, because I obviously failed. ðŸ˜ª Yeah, I didn't make the jump so I completely crashed into the drawers. Right after my leg was hurting and I couldn't get up. My uncle carried me out to the living room and waited for my parents to get home. The next day I was taken to the doctors when I learned my foot was broken. I also remember going to Kindergarten in a wheel chair! 🌚

Right Arm:
During a summer I was sleeping over at my grandparent's house; it was either morning or afternoon, because it was only grandma and I. Grandma was in the kitchen cooking it up, while I was in the living room. So, my grandparent's couches had a little table attached to them where the cup holders are at... Know what I'm talking about? (shown to the left)  Well picture that couch and the little plastic chair all the little kids had. (shown on the left). So I was standing on the dam chair and it became slippery. So I ended up slipping from the chair and fell on to the couch's table. & Well I cried my ass off and I told my grandmother that it felt broken. She panicked, but didn't believe me. My grandfather came home from work to help my grandmother take me back to my parents' house. & All My grandfather did was shake my hand (arm attached) up and down and said "its not broken. its not broken." THE MOST PAINFUL SHIT OF MY LIFE = how I broke my right arm.  Let me tell you, HE still laughs about it till this day, 🙄

Left Arm (First time):
I was in the fifth grade and we were playing basketball for PE. I mean that's pretty self explanatory. The entire class played basketball and we got divided into teams. At the time, I had the ball you know just running with it until a girl (I will not mentioned names) body slammed me for the DAM BALL! I fell to the ground and landed on my left arm. I got up and I immediately felt the pain . & That's how I broke my left arm. Can I just say, IT WAS A DAM PE GAME, SMFH.

Left Arm (Second time):
Months after the basketball game, Jesse (cousin) and I decided to ride our bikes to school. We were both in elementary, I was in sixth grade and he was in fourth. That morning, we rode our bikes and Jesse was in front of me. We passed through the street and we came across a side walk. I knew that I had to jump the side walk, but Jesse wasn't going fast enough so I failed. I didn't jump and felt my arm's pain. I got off the bike real quick and I told Jesse to walk with my bike because I couldn't ride it,  anymore. So we both walked our bikes to school and as soon as the bell rung I walked to the nurses office. I was perfectly fine. They called my mom to pick me up. I was perfectly fine. My mom walked through the nurse's office. I began to cry. I became a little girl. She asked "why are you crying?" I said: "because I broke my arm again and you're going to get mad!" Mom: "I'm not mad. Let's go to the doctors and get you another cast! OOOOH, but let's tell your dad" GAAAAHDAAAAAM, I cried but that's how I broke my left arm.

Left Foot:
THE MOST RECENT! It all went down, March 2016. I had gone out to a party on a Thursday. I'm going to cut to the chase on this one. But on Thursday night I got STUPID DRUNK! I pretty much blacked out. Magz and I were walking back from the party around 3 am. I would like to believe the party was on 24th street and we lived on 10th, so we walked 14th streets. No, we didn't call an Uber because they were expensive at the time. So, we walked home. On our way home, I stepped wrong and twisted my ankle (no I didn't fall).  I made it home and went to sleep, & I didn't feel any pain. I woke up that same morning early to shower and get ready because I had a midterm. Yeah, I know I partied the night before an exam. I really just thought I sprained my ankle. I couldn't walk. It was THE most painful shit of my life x3! I called up Magz to help me walk to class & I took my exam. After I took my exam I limped to the Wellness Center, at State. That's how my drunk ass broke my fifth and praying last bone of my life!! *The pictures above were taken place last year, when I had a broken foot & I was known as La Scooter.  AND I'll have to say, this is the most embarrassing YET most unbelievable story, smh.

I hope you laughed a little and read about my fragile ass. Btw, I get made fun of by my family for breaking so many bones, ha. Its all good though. Now let's hope I don't break anymore.

Review: 10+ Different Peeps!

BACKSTORY: My favorite season is SPRING! Spring has the best weather in my opinion, its my birthday season and its also PEEPS SEASON. I love peeps! I get excited whenever, Easter comes around because that's the only time I see peeps. & Well Easter is approaching especially in Walmart (always ahead). In my Walmart they had the OGs and some new flavors that I've never tried. So, I'm here to share with you my opinions.

There were 14 different kinds of Peeps I found of my Walmart.

The following peeps will be 2 different kinds of chicks dipped in chocolate.
Delight Blueberry:
Retail Price: $1.98
Smell?: Only got the hit of chocolate, nothing else.
Taste?: Once you bite into it, you get a bite of sourness. Definitely, taste like Blueberry Jolly Ranchers.
5 Stars?: 3
Recommend?: NO!
Comments?: The after taste wasn't pleasant. It was like medicine with chocolate or sour patch dipped in chocolate. It was also a bit pricey for only THREE chicks.
Delights Marshmallows:
Retail Price: $1.98
Smell?: Once again, it only smelled like chocolate.
Taste?: It was a combination of the OG peeps dipped in chocolate.
5 Stars?: 5
Recommend? GURL, YES!
Comments?: In my opinion, I think they we are one of the best combinations out there! But I would have to say they are pricey for THREE chicks.

Next, there were 4 different flavored Peeps!
Fruit Punch:
Retail Price: $1.12
Smell?: Straight off the bat it smelled like Fruit Punch soda
Taste?: I would have to say it tasted like Fruit Punch, Kool Aid.
5 Stars?: 2
Recommend? No!
Comments?: Let's just say its marshmallows dipped in Fruit Punch.

Sour Watermelon:
Retail Price: $1.12
Smell?: They smell like Watermelon Jolly Ranchers.
Taste?: They were really sour! We would like to say they were more sour than the Sour Patch kids.
5 Stars?: 0
Recommend? Hecks No!
Comments?: They look like a watermelon as well, they are pinkish on the inside and green on the outside, of course.
Party Cake:
Retail Price: $1.12
Smell?: As soon as you opened them, you got the smell of either cake batter or vanilla frosting.
Taste?: We would have to say it was a combination of the OG peeps and cake mix.
5 Stars?: 4
Recommend?: Yes.
Comments?: They are light blue from the outside as pictured above and a light yellow color marshmallow.
Bubble Gum:
Retail Price: $1.12
Smell?: A strong smell of Bubble Gum (point blank)!
Taste?: If you had Hubba Bubba Bubble Gum, then you know that these Peeps taste exactly like that.
5 Stars?: 4
Recommend?: Yes.
Comments?: They're like bubble gum that is safe to swallow.

Now the following 3 were Mysteries! So, our taste buds were probably not our best BUT these were our opinions based on the smell & taste!

Mystery Flavor #1 of 3:
Retail Price: $1.12
Smell?: We got the smell between brown sugar or cinnamon or maple syrup.
Taste?: I wish I was kidding but they tasted like PANCAKES!
5 Stars?: 4
Recommend?: YEEEH.
Comments?: It was difficult trying to guess the flavor but that was the best we did.
Mystery Flavor #2 of 3:
Retail Price: $1.12
Smell?: Oranges! That was the first thing we can smell.
Taste?: & as soon as we tasted it was correct! They tasted like sour oranges.
5 Stars?: 0
Recommend?: Hecks No!
Comments?: Probably the worst one to try!
Mystery Flavor #3 of 3:
Retail Price: $1.12
Smell?: They smelled exactly like Green Apple Jolly Ranchers.
Taste?: Same as Jolly Ranchers, Green Apple.
5 Stars?: 0
Recommend?: Hecks No!
Comments?: No to be harsh, but that was the second worst one!

HEALTHY Option?
They retailed for $1.12. The reason why I didn't do the smell & taste is because they are just like the OG peeps. You can taste the sugar on the outside and the marshmallow filling. Of course, they are different than the original ones; these are decorated Easter eggs, cute! What did caught my attention is the fact that they said "always gluten free, fat free." Now I looked on the website & it says majority of peeps are glutten and fat free, but they need to be stated. Although, they were the only peeps that stated that; it can only say that they were the only healthy ones? *inserts thinking face here*

THE OG PEEPS!
So I hope everyone knows about the OG Peeps! They are either bunnies or chicks depending which ones are available (the cost is $1.12 for each one). If you never had peeps, in MY OPINION you're missing out. They are marshmallows covered in sugar, pretty much! I mean if you don't like them then I'm sorry, BUT if you do then you know what I'm talking about. If I choose my "favorite" OG Peeps, they would have to be the Blue (my favorite color), Purple, Pink and then Yellow. Haha, they were just based on colors!

If you read the entire blog & you were thinking "we?" Yes, WE! They were 10+ different kind of peeps. & I felt like it wasn't fair to give you just MY opinion. So,I brought in my Mother & Sister to help me taste them; so they can give me their opinion. Just to make everything fair. I also asked them what their top 3 were and they said this:

Lizbeth (sister)                               Erika (mother)                                     Me
1. Delights Marshmallow            1. Delights Marshmallow                       1. Party Cake
2. Bubble Gum                          2. Delights Blueberry Marshmallow        2. Delights Mashmallow
3. Party Cake                             3. Bubble Gum                                      3. Mystery #3

Chisme: Where will I be in the next two months?

Hi Everyone,

So I want to talk about what's going to go on for the next two months. You will probably see me post less than usual in the next months, but I am here to let you guys know the breakdown.

Month of March!
We are at the beginning of March, thankfully. The first two weeks I will be studying for my midterms. Yes, I am in school & yes, we are in midterm season (already? I know!). For the last week and a half of March, I will be out of the country. My family and I will be traveling to Guadalajara, Jalisco and Tlaltenango, Zacatecas for "Spring Break." Quoting Spring Break because technically my actual "Spring Break" is not until April. I'm only going for 10 days, & yes, I already talked to my professors about it, its taken care of. However, I am trying to get ahead of my work, so I don't fall behind.
March = Midterms & Mexico.

Month of April!
The month of April is as well going to be busy. So, I will be coming back April 2nd (Sunday) from Mexico. The following day I will have to go to school. So the first week of April I will try and play catch up with my classes and see if we have anything going on before we head out to Spring Break. Now, let's talk about important dates now: April 6th-16th is my actual Spring Break! April 8th, I have a family party to attend. The week of April 10th-14th I have to get everything ready for my 21st Birthday Party, which is April 15! (If you know where I live you're invited 😉). April 17th (Monday) is my actual 21st (no plans because I have class). April 20th-23rd I will be going to San Jose, Ca. April 22nd is the day of Banquet for my Sorority & that will be the day I sash my Big, (She's graduating! & Yes, I am working on the speech!) The last important date for the month of April is Diana's Baby Shower, April 29th! & That will conclude the month of April... April will be hectic with all the plans I have and balancing school.
April = Parties!

Month of May!
The first two weeks of May (don't know which one yet), I will be going to Las Vegas. We haven't decided which weekend to ruin, lol, either Cinco de Mayo or Mother's Day.  May 17th-21st I will be going to San Jose, Ca. I got my Big Chris Brown concert tickets as a graduation gift. So, I am really excited for that! I will be returning back to Riverside for school days (Monday & Wednesday). & May 24th-29th I will again be going to San Jose, Ca for graduations! I will be attending my Big's graduation ceremonies and parties! I know what you're thinking *just stay in San Jose for the last weeks on May* TRUST ME, If I could I would. & That will end the month of May. June will be only for Finals!
May= Parties!

So sorry, if I do not post as often as I do now. Of course I will try my best to post, but if anything you know why. Thank you for understanding!

Yours Truly,
Lizzeth Rodriguez

:HOW DO YOU FEEL ABOUT THE NEXT 2 MONTHS?
ME:
