Happy One Year

This week marked my one year blog-versary!
I am honestly surprised with myself. I am the type of person who picks up a "hobby" and drops it within days. I considered this my little escape. Although a stopped blogging for a couple of months due to time management, I missed it. I know I've said this like a million times, but I do this for myself no one else. However, I do appreciate all the comments and feedback. I'm working on new things for La Vida De Lizzy, so I'm excited with this upcoming year brings for my blog.
With that being said, Happy Holidays loves!

Christmas Wishlist

We have officially hit the month of December and that means holidays! In my family we celebrate Christmas, so I made a Christmas Wishlist for fun. All of these things are not a need but a want, I included clothing, fashion and of course makeup! Don't judge me based off these things because I know the price tags to all of these and they are expensive. So, lets get into the holiday spirit and get into my Christmas Wishlist.

1. YG's Merchandise
Everyone knows I'm all about YG, so when I saw YG came out with a clothing line I've been wanting some merch! There's definitely shirts and sweaters I've been eyeing, and honestly you can never go wrong with T-shirts and Sweaters.

2. Black Faux Fur Jacket
I just want to look like a bad biiiitch. Everything, about this screams: "I just killed my husband, Hows your day going?!" Its stunning! Also, its been a goal of mine to find one that fits.

3. Gucci Marmont MatelassĂ© mini bag
Okay, I honestly don't know why a college student (I) wants a Gucci bag. When I first saw it and I was like wow, I WANT. NEED. it. I've been looking for a new black purse, cross body preferably; since I own a mini backpack and I'm completely over it. So, anything cross-body bag would be good, I just choose this one because I fell in love with it.

4. Versace Sunglasses
I own four pairs of sunglasses: (Quay Australia, Ray Ban, and two Guccis), so I thought it was time to change it up. I've always seen these, but I never tried them on because I didn't think they suited my face well since I have such a big round face. But when I tried these on I was like omg I need them.

5. LancĂ´me: Monsieur Big Mascara
Before this mascara came out I feel in love. They were giving the mini size at Ulta with your purchase at the beginning of the year and its one of my top five mascaras. It does the most and I'm all about it.

6. Anastasia Beverly Hills: Prism Eye Shadow Palette
Do I really need ANOTHER eye shadow palette? Absolutely not! Its a want. The colors of this palette speak to me especially: Throne, Osiris, and Dimension. I also own the ABH: Subculture eye shadow palette, despite all the controversy and I love it. So, I know I will love this one too and I like how the outside of the palette looks and feels like since its black velvet.

7. Colourpop: Feelin' Fine Lip Gloss Trio
My last and finally thing on my wishlist is lipgloss. Winter is near and I usually gravitates towards satin lipsticks and lip glosses. I've owned some of Colourpop's lip glosses, so I know I love the formula and these colors spoke to me.

Thank you for reading, but I want to know what's on your wish list and what holiday do you celebrate?
Shout out to Pepper for the Christmas Wishlist Idea.

Liz

Hora de Chisme: GIRL, Let me catch a break!

Dam! Welcome back everyone to a new Hora de Chisme blog post. It has been two months and three days since my last blog post. That's 64 days, 1536 hours. Where has the time gone?

I can't even begin with what's been going on during that time. Many changes have been happening,  some have been good others not the best. I've been dealing with a lot of family (They're all healthy and I love them all), school and work issues.

I completely failed with my blog. I thought I was going to be consistent, but oh my god wrong was I. BUT HEY! At least I was honest and I knew I was going to lag, but dam this much and for this long? Yeah, I know. I'm disappointed too.

The reason why I had to take a break for 64 days is because midterms were coming up and I had to dedicate my time to studying. Once I took the midterms I was trying to come back on to my blog, but I also had work. At the time, I was working hella hours. Something I wasn't happy about, so I had to cut back on them. So, just when I thought I was going to be able to catch up with my blog....boom! Something happened with my family and it took some time to deal with it and next thing you know the second round of midterms was here. Next thing you know here am again, trying to make up for everything and squeeze 64 days of information in one post, but I'm not.

Things I've done in the past 64 days: Spoiled myself. Been going out to clubs (not normal for me). Saw Banda MS Live! Visited my family. Gaby's Baby Shower, SF Boo, Made new friends. Been hella M.I.A. & Finally, Been a BAD BITCH!

As of today, 2 and half more weeks and I will be done with Fall Semester. Yeah, hella fast huh? Everything healthy, work, and school is going okay some things can be better but not complaining. For the family aspect, many changes for everyone. Its definitely something I will probably go into depth in the future but as of right now, I'm pretty heart broken. No promises.

HOWEVER, I will be more active soon and I will be able to balance my time. With the being said, my one year anniversary with my blog is coming up! *happy dance*  I will improve my blog within time, watch!

Since my one year anniversary is coming up, I do want to sent out little cards to my subscribers and followers. So, I will be sending emails out! Keep an eye out for that

Until then, You'll hear from me soon on here!
I'm more active on my other social media though.

Review | Fenty Beauty: Foundation + Blotting Powder

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you Rihanna's makeup line, Fenty Beauty. Fenty Beauty has been stirring so many pots and has been the most talking about makeup brand in the recent weeks. Rihanna launched with 40 foundations shades, 6 highlights, a gloss, primer, brushes, blotting powder and sheets, sponges, and matching stixes. It was a huge and overwhelming launch. In my case, I ended up getting the Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation and Invisimatte Blotting Powder and I also ended up getting a sample of Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer at Sephora. So, I'll be giving you a full on review using all three products.

The Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer is 32 ML/1.08 Fl Oz. It is pink but it diffuses to your skin after applying it. The reason why I didn't buy it and only got the sample of the primer is because to me its either a hit or miss with primers. The primer claims to stop shine, pore diffusing and smooths out the skin for better foundation application. However, one of the biggest problems I had with Primer + Foundation combo, was that it enhanced my pores. My pores were extremely noticeable. I began to see what was the problem. After different experiments, I realized it was the primer that was making my pores stand out more than normal. So I now use the foundation with a different primer. If you have the primer and you're loving it then I'm happy it worked out for you! Take note that the primer does a strong baby smell. Its also moisturizing which makes your face feel soft. The primer does cost $32.

The Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation is 32 ML equivalent to 1.08 Fl Oz, which is a little above average. The cost of the foundation is $34; I actually find it inexpensive for a foundation that is slightly above 1 fluid ounce. Yes, there is 40 shades, so I do highly recommend getting color matched. There are many different undertones and it makes it difficult to find your match; plus the foundation does oxidize. So be careful when it comes to color matching yourself. This foundation is a medium to full coverage depending how you apply it. With a damped beauty blender, you'll get a medium coverage and with a dry beauty blender you'll get more of a full coverage. I also want to note that I have very oily/combo skin. When I first applied the foundation, I found it to dry extremely fast. Once it dries on you you'll find difficulty to blend it out, so work with it by sections. Other than that it does blend smoothly. I use two pumps for an everyday use. It also has a scent to it, almost as a floral smell. After my first use of the foundation I realized two things: 1. It was extremely lightweight on the skin. As if I was wearing absolutely nothing. I loved it! 2. It lasts! I wasn't shiny at all. However, its not as medium to full coverage as I thought it was going to be. After foundation is set and everything, I do still see redness. But I'm not completely mad at it. The pros definitely outweigh the cons, but I also do not love this foundation. Its more of a like. I've used this foundation for over a week and its starting to grow on me. I am shade 190, its a bit light on me, but with Fall and Winter coming I'll fine.

Talk about magic. The Invisimatte Blotting Powder costs $32 for 8.5g/0.3 oz. Don't be intimated by the white powder; it is actually universal for all skins tones. It. Is. Amazing. With the Pro Filt'r Foundation I found it rare when I was shiny, but when I would just apply it to apply it, I saw a difference. It worked like magic. It made me completely matte! You can also use it when you are not wearing any foundation. I loved this product for sure. No problems either.

Ladies and Gentlemen, that was my review for Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation, Invisimatte Blotting Powder and Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer. If you want to give the foundation a try, I do recommend it. Everyone skin types are different and everyone has different opinions. The foundation is the safest thing to try out. For the primer I recommend getting a sample first and trying out to see if you like it, but that's just my opinion. And for the Blotting Powder, if you feel like you need it in your life, get it. If you can deal with being shiny then you're fine. Save your money! These are just my opinions and experiences with the products. How I rate the products on whether which one is best for you 1. Foundation. 2. Blotting Powder. 3. Primer.

See you next time.

Yours Truly,
Lizzy.

FFR | September's Ipsy Glam Bag

Today's post is all about Ipsy Glam Bag for the month of September! So, welcome back. (:

September's Ipsy Glam Bag
The products in this month's subscription are:
Manefit: Lily, Whitening + Brightening & Mugwort, Astringent + Pore Care
Smashbox Cosmetics: Photo Finish Radiance Primer
ColourPop Cosmetics: Brow Boss in Dark Brown
Teeez Cosmetics: Eve's Ready to Wear Lipstick in Romantic Red
P.R.M.I.T Beauty: GELIusion in Virgo
All black, faux leather, and spiked

I started off by using Manefit: Lily, Whitening + Brightening face mask.

So, I ended up forgetting to take a picture after the mask, but let me just say my face was glow-y! In this picture I also applied Smashbox Cosmetics: Photo Finish Radiance Primer. My face was so glow-y from the mask that the radiance primer added more shine; which is why my face looks so moisturized.

LOL @ my eyebrows. Anywho, I almost always use brow pencils, so this is where ColourPop Cosmetics: Brow Boss in Dark Brown came to play.

I topped off my makeup with Teeez Cosmetics: Eve's Ready to Wear Lipstick in Romantic Red.

Oh, and I also did my nails using P.R.M.I.T Beauty: GELIusion in Virgo.

Review!
Manefit: Lily, Whitening + Brightening & Mugwort, Astringent + Pore Care || OMGoodness! I used the Lily, Whitening + Brightening mask and its probably one of the best masks I've used in a while. The mask claims to help hydrate and amp up skin clarity. It definitely hydrated my skin. It brought my face back to life. I was honestly shook by this mask. If you ever come across it, BUY IT!
Smashbox Cosmetics: Photo Finish Radiance Primer || I am all about trying new primers, but I was not a fan of this primer for the reason being that its radiant. I want a primer that is going to give me a matte canvas when I apply foundation. My makeup however did it last for a good amount time, I just wish it wasn't radiant. Other than that, it did its job.
ColourPop Cosmetics: Brow Boss in Dark Brown || Okay, Colourpop! I've tried many drugstore brow pencils, but this has to be my favorite thus far. Its inexpensive as well, only $8 online. I love the fact that it's not wax-y. One thing, I did have trouble with, was the application. I felt like I had to add a lot of pressure when I was applying, just to get color pay off, but that was only the first time I used it. Other than that it its my favorite. I've used it everyday every since then.
Teeez Cosmetics: Eve's Ready to Wear Lipstick in Romantic Red || I was not a fan. The formula was buttery (satin) and I felt like the color didn't suit me as well. If you end up getting this lipstick. Do you like it?
P.R.M.I.T Beauty: GELIusion in Virgo || I LOVE THIS COLOR. This sapphire blue is everything. I'm here for it. When I first applied it, I did see a gel illusion to it, but as days went by it ended up disappearing. The nail polish chipped pretty fast. It didn't last me two days, but the color is pretty and also very me!
All black, faux leather, and spiked || One of the best bags to receive. Its a classic black bag with no extra designs to it. Love it!

Overall September's Ipsy Glam Bag? 4/5

Thank you for reading another Full Face Review. Stay tuned for monthly reviews.

Lizzy's Recipe || Chicken Salad

Hello and welcome to Lizzy's Recipe.
This is a new blog series where I share recipes that I learned throughout my life and especially through my family. So, sit back and enjoy some recipes I have in store. Also, majority of these recipes are budget friendly, but I'm not 100% sure for healthy eating. However, what I do know is that they're good! So enjoy some good eating.

Chicken Salad

Things you'll need:
  • Boneless & Skinless Chicken Breast (3)
  • Canned Tuna (1)
  • Mayo
  • Canned Peas & Carrots (1)
  • Canned Kernel Corn (1)
  • Optional: Corn Chips or Tostadas

Step 1: Start off with boiling water for 15 minutes before adding the chicken. Once the water starts boiling go ahead and add the chicken. Let the chicken sit for 20-30 minutes.

Step 2: Before taking out the chicken out of boiling water, please make sure it's done. The time depends on how high you have the stove on and how thick the chicken breasts are. Don't get salmonella. Once the chicken is ready; empty out the water and add the chicken to a bowl. I recommend letting the chicken cool for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes you'll need to start shredding the chicken. I do it by hand and it can take but up 15 minutes.

Step 3: After shredding all the chicken. You'll add in the rest of the ingredients. The order doesn't matter, but I always add in Tuna first, then Canned Peas & Carrots, after Canned Kernel Corn and finally Mayo. I added a can of everything but its completely up to you on how many cans you want to add. I do sometimes only add one of everything except Tuna, I'll occasionally do two cans of Tuna. As far as the Mayo goes you can do two spoonfuls of Mayo. Optionally: Adding sliced jalapenos. It adds more flavor, but since I don't like jalapenos I skipped this step.

Step 4: Mix everything together. When you're mixing you'll know if you need more Mayo or not. I also start off with a little bit of Mayo and add more along the way if its needed.

Step 5: After Step 4, you're done with your chicken salad. & Taaadaaaaah, you're basically done and you'll be able to enjoy your chicken salad. By the way, I LOVE to eat the chicken salad with corn chips. ITS BOMB(DOT)COM.

I hope you guys enjoyed the first blog post of my new series and I also hope you try this recipe out. If you do try this recipe let me know how you like it or if you have any questions feel free to ask me as well.

FFR || Play! by Sephora: The Innovators, Aug 2017.

Better late than never. Welcome to yet another Full Face Review using Play! by Sephora. This is now my second month subscribed and I'm loving it so far. I was actually thinking of canceling my subscription from Ipsy, but that's another topic. So, let's get to this month's theme; which is The Innovators.

Play! by Sephora: The Innovators
August 2017
This month's products:
BeautyBlender: Micro Mini
Kat Von D: Lock-It Concealer Creme #19
Too Faced: Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil
Kopari: Coconut Melt
Living Proof: Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo
Kat Von D: Saint & Sinner
Makeup Geek Bag

For this particular blog post we are doing it differently. Since I fell behind and there's not really any makeup to review on my face; I'll just give you my review based on the usage and I'll insert pictures afterwards.

BeautyBlender: Micro Mini || Do not be fooled by the size. Once I damped the mini beauty blender it double its size. To be completely honest with you, you're not missing out. If anything I think the micro mini is a bit to small of under eye concealer and too big to be getting into small areas if that makes sense? But, yes. The micro mini blender does to its job. It actually blends beautifully.
Kat Von D: Lock-It Concealer Creme #19 || I am a fan of Kat Von D products, so I had high expectations for this. Unfortunately, shade #19 is a tad tan for my liking, since I do highlight the under eye. I did however use it as a dark circle concealer and it was so rich and thick. I was afraid of caking, but it worked great. I definitely recommend this product. However, if you don't like thick/heavy concealers then I consider you passing on this one.
Too Faced: Mascara Melt Off Cleansing Oil || I usually don't wear waterproof mascaras since I always struggle with taking it off, but since I received this product its been a life saver. Considering the fact, that this is my first Mascara Melt Off Cleaning Oil, its my favorite at the moment, so don't quote me on the "best thing ever." With that being said if you recommend any Mascaras Melt Offs, please let me know. Thank you!
Kopari: Coconut Melt || This Coconut Melt is everything! I used this as a makeup remover melt and moisturizer. But you can use it as: lip balm, hair mask, shave oil, massage oil, baby butter and more. It is for all skin types and its solutions are: dryness, redness and dullness and uneven texture. I have seen result in my redness and uneven texture. Recommend for sure!
Living Proof: Perfect Hair Day Dry Shampoo || Unfortunately, I did not try this. I actually gave it away to my pledge sister since I do not use Dry Shampoo and I know she does and well take full advantage of it. Sorry.
Kat Von D: Saint & Sinner || Saint is more for the daytime and Sinner is more of a nighttime perfume. I can't explain the scents, but my favorite is Saint over Sinner. I do recommend going into Sephora and taking a whiff.
Makeup Geek Bag || I cannot with white bags. The bag itself is okay, not the best thing ever but its okay. Somewhat disappointed.

Overall The Innovators, Aug 2017: 5/7

Sorry, for a very short and not well put together blog. The next one will be better, I promise!

August Monthly Goals

So are we going to act like I've been M.I.A? I know, I do apologize. But I'll explain in details in the end. I just realized it's the end of the month and I swear that this was the longest month of the year so far! It's CRAZY! I also know that I am a day late. So lets get to it!

August's
-Meal prep for a week
-Writing a poem.
-Explore something new.

  • MEAL PREP FOR A WEEK. Unfortunately, I didn't get around meal prepping because of lack of funds, time, and space. I know its not a valid excuse, but I know for sure before the year ends I will meal prep for a week. AND when I do I'll posted on here. :)
  • WRITING A POEM. I recently wrote and published my poem on my blog: A Friendship Poem At the beginning, I was hesitant about publishing my poem because I thought it wasn't good; since I don't write poems. (sweat face). But, hey I achieved a goal. Did you read it? P.S I still don't think its good.
  • EXPLORE SOMETHING NEW. Well, August was a month full of new things. For instance the fact that I went to New York for a week and experienced and explored new places. Here are two blog posts I have of New York in case you haven't read them: New York post 1 and New York post 2. This month I also went to the Gilroy Outlets. I know, I know. I've lived here in San Jose for about three years and I never been to Gilroy Outlets until now. Everything and everywhere I went and tried was good.

Although, everything went well except meal prep it was a good month to achieve 2/3 goals. However, a reason why I've been M.I.A is because of the trip and moving. When I moved back to SJ I didn't have wifi, but until the past couple of days; so it was hard to get some work done. Plus, I am working and going to school. So bare with me while I upload August posts in September. But until then I'll see you in a couple of weeks for another monthly goal posts.

FFR || August Ipsy Glam Bag

Welcome back to another monthly Full Face Review using my August glam bag.

August Ipsy Glam Bag
This month's products:
Labotica: Honey & Bamboo Skin Soft Mask Set
Glamour Dolls: Romantic Blending Brush
theBalm Cosmetics: theBalm Voyage Vol. 2 Eyeshadow in Kuwakaribisha
Make Up For Ever: Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara
Hey Honey: Come Clean: Propolis & Mineral Facial Scrub
 Peace Love & Lipstick

To begin with I had just shower and every time I jump out the shower I have the driest skin ever. Its so bad that I have to moisturize as soon as I'm out.

I'M DEAD. THIS IS BY FAR AN AWKWARD AF PICTURE
Since I need some moisturizer I used Labotica: Bamboo Skin Soft Mask. The Bamboo mask is for deep skin moisturizing and let me tell you it did its job.

Ah, I'm sorry but I thought my skin looked amazing and it was glowing AND of course moisturized. It said to leave on for 10-20 minutes, but I always do in between, so I left it on for 15 minutes and I patted in the left off serum and it looked pretty good.

Like always I continue to the makeup segment of my Full Face Reviews. At this point, I had my foundation, concealer and eyebrows done. I used one of my palettes to use a transition color. I was surprised how much product the Glamour Dolls: Romantic Blending Brush picked up.

I blended out the eyeshadow, but I was not impressed.

The first picture is the theBalm Cosmetics: theBalm Voyage Vol. 2 Eyeshadow in Kuwakaribisha swatched. My first impressions was that it was so light; meaning it could easily be a highlight instead of eyeshadow. In case you are wondering, No I did not read the instructions or anything about it. So I applied it all over my lid. And well I was somewhat disappointed, so I went a little crazy and applied it on my eyebrow done for some highlight.

To finalize my eyes I added Make Up For Ever: Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara.

This was the overall look with all the products except one...

So on the first picture I had to take off my makeup and on the second picture I used Hey Honey: Come Clean: Propolis & Mineral Facial Scrub.

AFTERMATH & REVIEW:

Labotica: Honey & Bamboo Skin Soft Mask Set || So I ended up using the Bamboo Skin Soft Mask and its purpose was too moisture the skin. The Bamboo did exactly what it claim. When I first opened it I realized that it had a lot of serum; which is always a good thing. Once
I put it on it smelled like the standard hand soap. But in honest, once I took off the mask but skin was glowing! I thought the mask did such a good job. The mask did its job in moisturizing!
Glamour Dolls: Romantic Blending Brush || In our blending eyeshadow trial I was not impressed. I felt like the brush picked up a good amount of the product and it did blend out, but it was not the best thing. Did it do its job? Yes. Is it my favorite blending brush? No.
theBalm Cosmetics: theBalm Voyage Vol. 2 Eyeshadow in Kuwakaribisha || Off the bat I did not like it, but my opinion changed. I read eyeshadow, so what I tried doing was applying it over the eyelid. Biggest mistake. I ended up going on to Ipsy's how to and well I felt so dumb. This eyeshadow is not meant for an over the lid color. So I ended up applying it to the under the brow bone. And it was so much better!
Make Up For Ever: Excessive Lash Arresting Volume Mascara || I love receiving mascaras, so I was excited to try it on. Once I started applying it, I could tell a difference on how it was giving my lashes volume. What I also like was how black it was and the fact that it did not clump my eyelashes together. But unfortunately its not waterproof. My eyes tend to get watery once I step outside and I had mascara coming out of my eye, but other than that it. Two thumbs up.
Hey Honey: Come Clean: Propolis & Mineral Facial Scrub || Omg. Can I just say it tastes and feels nasty. It tasted like so much sweat and I felt like the greasiest thing ever. BUT it did do its job, haha. So they scrub claims to: minimize pores, hydrate and brightens up the skin. I did see the first two except brightens up the skin.
Peace Love & Lipstick || This month they had three different Ipsy bags. I received the Peace Love & Lipstick one and I was happy because I love lipsticks, so I felt like it was right.

Overall August Ipsy Glam Bag? 4/5

Thank you for reading yet another Full Face Review. Stay tune for more to come.

A Friendship Poem

"FRIENDSHIPS"

Roses are red
Violets are blue
But who are you
Only a few knew
We outgrew and changed
I bent backwards for you and you couldn't do the same
You apologized but you still blamed
Things went south and into flames
All the what ifs and games
Ended without a word in mouth
We screamed and shout
It was loud and clear
Now dear
Just because I say these things don't mean I shed a tear
A tear is not here nor fear
I stand here at the pier
With words that were clear
I missed you
But did you miss the missed?
Past tense let me assist you
You might think I'm in the past but don't get it twisted
I'm here an you're there
And I know that at the end of the day
I'm here to stay, so let me just say
We may not talk but since the depart
I hold the memories close to my heart
But its time for a new start...

New York | Charging Bull, Broadway & Times Square

Hello everyone and welcome back to another New York posts. If you read my previous post then you know I divided up the posts because it would've been way too much. So with that being said lets continue with the three day.

Day Three:

Our morning plan was to head out to see a mural. On our way to the mural we realized that the mural was not there. (ahhh) Apparently they painted over the mural, so it was just a white wall. I was in disbelief because we had taken the bus since it wasn't walking distance. By the way, we had many fails within the trips and yes this was one of them. And for this reason we just ended up walking to breakfast. In the process we passed by buildings and small murals.

When we finally arrived at Two Hands restaurant/shop; off the bat it reminded me of Egg Shop. Very hipster and small, but as well cute. I ordered Acai Bowl: frozen blueberries and bananas, cacao and acai powder with almond milk, topped with granola, coconut, cacao nibs, chia seeds, blueberries and raspberries. Yes, I know its basic and I can easily get an Acai Bowl anywhere in California, but I was really craving it and it sounded good at the moment. I do have to say though, its a pretty good serving size and it tastes good as well, but I just wish the granola wasn't so hard. I caught myself chewing hard just to eat the granola. It came to the point where I was avoid eating it. But the customer service was very nice and the atmosphere was great too. I would go back to this shop, but I would definitely order something else.

After breakfast we explored more of Little Italy and Chinatown. However everything seemed the same just many different restaurants and people.

After Little Italy and Chinatown we decided to just continue walking. (We walked everywhere!) We passed through Columbus Park. Weird thing was that I saw no statue of Christopher Columbus instead there was a statue of Dr. Sun Yat-sen. It was not what I was expecting and there were a lot of Asians gambling as well; Although, there are many signs saying no gambling.

After Columbus Park, our next walking destination was City Hall! There were many beautiful buildings as well of art. Close to City Hall was World Trade Center, so we ended up walking there. Unfortunately, there was a lot of construction; which was difficult to find our way around the World Trade Center. But right behind WTC was 9/11 Memorial.

After figuring our way to the 9/11 Memorial; we finally arrived and it was beautiful! I felt a type of way. It was the saddest thing just seeing both the north and south pools. And the fact that the pools were surrounded by the names of the victims of 9/11 was amazing! I absolutely loved it!

Since we were basically right next to Liberty Park we sung by and saw The Anne Frank Tree. Now listen. For some strange reason I wanted to go to the New York Exchange, why? I have no idea I just wanted to go you know? Well it was legit a mission to get there and being able to find it, but honestly I got scammed. I did not know it was private and there was going to be security everywhere. Meaning I was not able to go in and of course there was construction so all I saw was the outside. *crying face* But I guess that was okay we ended up at going towards Bowling Green.

Bowling Green, is a park where the Fearless Girl and the Charging Bull is located. Fun Fact: The Fearless Girl was actually installed on March 7, 2017 representing International Women's Day. "Know the power of women in leadership. SHE makes a difference"

After the Bowling Green Park we made it to the Battery Park. Now this is the park where you can take the ferry to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. We were ready to go, but we needed food in our system! After all the walking and the heat we were starving, but the closest restaurant was Battery Gardens Restaurant. It was the most high class/ fancy restaurant that has a view THAT I ever been too. I was like *eye emojis* I want to eat here. After reading the menu the only thing I knew and understood was Clam Chowder along with dessert. Dessert was a New York style cheesecake. IT WAS HEAVENLY! Expense of course, but heavenly. Worth every penny.

After eating lunch we went to Castle Clinton National Monument to buy our tickets to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. As we were waiting in line there was a sign saying after 3:00 pm you are only able to visit one of the island; of course your choosing. We looked at the clock and it was 3:30 pm. We missed it but 30 minutes. So we ended up leaving because the purpose was to see both islands. So we ended up going home and this time we actually took the subway back because BOY!! We got back to our hotel and rested.

After napping and resting we went to Yaya Tea to try it out. It was not milk tea, so the Tea shop was new to me and it was good too. We walked happily to the subway station with Teas in our hands on our way to Times Square

Our Subway stop was in front of Broadway. Neither one of us were interested in Broadway, but here is a picture anyways. We continued walking and we did a little shopping and exploring of Times Square. We walked into M&M's World, Hershey's World, Disney Store, NY Gift shops, etc. I was in love with all the lights and people. Funny part is that I can get really claustrophobic, but I liked to atmosphere of Times Square. There were so many stores as well. It was overwhelming not going to lie but damn!

We ended our night at Carlo's Bakery. And I was so stoked because it was Cake Boss's bakery. I grew up watching Buddy and his family baking and creating cakes; so yeah I was pretty excited for this. So I ordered a cheesecake and a cannoli. Little did I know she had written down, a dipped cheesecake. Now, everyone knows that I don't like chocolate well at least not all at once like that. So I was not a fan of the cheesecake; plus the cheesecake was warm. The cannoli, I thought that was way too sweet. I was somewhat disappointed, but hey I at least went and got to try it. And well after Carlo's Bakery we called it a night.

Thank you for reading day 3 of New York. I know its a lot right? Well I still have 3-4 days so what I'm going to do is highlight key points for the next blog because I can probably still be here by the end of the year talking about New York lol. So maybe expect two more blog posts and that will be done.

Day 1 and 2: Here.

Yours Truly,
