Full Face Review || Play! by Sephora: Beauty Staycation, July 2017

Welcome to another Full Face Review (FFR), except this time I will be talking about Play! by Sephora. This bag is called, "Beauty Staycation" July 2017. Play! by Sephora is about the same as Ipsy. You get five sample beauty products + a sample size perfume each month; all for $10. Since it's my first month receiving this bag; I'm still learning how it works. What I did notice once you open up the package is that you receive a pamphlet. On the pamphlet there's  '50 Beauty Insider Points' card for Sephora; as well as information about the products you received. Now that we learned more about Play! by Sephora, let's talk about the products I received.

Play! by Sephora: Beauty Staycation.
July 2017.

This month I received the following products:
Boscia: Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash Off Treatment
Milk Makeup: Cooling Water
IT Cosmetics: Superhero Elastics Stretch Volumizing Mascara
BareMinerals: Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag
Briogeo: Rosario Milk Reparative Leave in Conditioning Spray
Atelier Cologne: Orange Sanguine
Glamp Out!:  Bag

Let's start off close and personal. I began with Boscia: Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash Off Treatment. One of the claims is "minimizes the appearance of pores;" which is why I did a close up on the mask as well at the before and after pictures.

So I unfortunately forgot to take a picture after applying Milk Makeup: Cooling Water, but it honestly worked like a moisturizer and I'll get into details at the bottom. I also used IT Cosmetics: Superhero Elastics Stretch Volumizing Mascara and Briogeo: Rosario Milk Reparative Leave in Conditioning Spray, but they weren't photographed not because I forgot but it's because I had already done a review on them in my May Ipsy Glam Bag. So I saved us both the time. And I received BareMinerals: Gen Nude Matte Liquid Lipcolor in Swag; so I swatched it on the top picture and I'm wearing it on the second picture.

AFTERMATH & REVIEW:
Boscia: Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash Off Treatment || When I first held it in my hand I thought it was such a good amount for a travel size; and for a mask that originally cost $38 full size. The mask claims to "balances skin's moisture, absorbs impurities and minimizes the appearance of pores." Now did it do its job? You're supposed to apply and leave the mask on for 15-20 minutes and that's exactly what I did. When I was wearing the mask I can definitely see my pore through it and I was disgusted. I HAVE A LOT OF PORES! I did real close ups and it didn't minimize them, if anything I felt as if they stood out more. However, it did leave my face feeling soft AND it did absorb my impurities. So I'm not mad about it. The only thing that bugged me was the smell, BUT it was only when I was applying it. The mask smelled like a plant and I honestly can't pin point exactly what plant, but I'm just going to say, the peppermint plant. Know what I'm talking about? But yes, I'm loving the mask especially since it makes my foundation look airbrush! Loving it!
Milk Makeup: Cooling Water || Now I know I completely forgot to take a picture after applying, but you're going to have to trust me on this one. This Cooling Water is the best thing ever. I don't think I've ever tried anything like it. Once I applied it and I was like "WOW!" and I just went crazy and applied it everywhere. This Cooling Water stick is so hydrating, I really can't stress that enough and also really cooling, duh. I will definitely be buying this full size once I run out. It's amazing!
IT Cosmetics: Superhero Elastics Stretch Volumizing Mascara || I received this mascara in my May Ipsy Glam. So I won't be talking about it on here, besides the fact that I love this mascara. Link
BareMinerals:  Gen Nude Matt Liquid Lipcolor in Swag || I've never owned a BareMinerals lipstick, but I've owned blushes and foundations before and they were both amazing. So once I saw this lippie I was excited to add it to the collection and try it. As soon as I applied it, I automatically fell in love. The smell, texture and color is everything! The smell reminds me sweets, cupcakes and chocolate! The texture of it was so moosy. It's a matte lipstick and it was one of the most comfortable lipsticks I've ever worn. It's super lightweight , NON DRYING and very pigmented. However just because its matte it doesn't mean its going to last a long time but it does last. If that makes sense? And the pink shade surprisingly isn't that bright. Its a perfect summer and spring time shade.
Briogeo: Rosario Milk Reparative Leave in Conditioning Spray || I also received this product in May's glam bag. You can go ahead and read about it there. Link
Atelier Cologne: Orange Sanguine || Picture this: You know when you peel oranges and you have the smell on your fingers? It smells exactly like that except a lot more sweeter.
Glamp Out!: Bag || I thought the bag was very simple. I mean its not ugly but its simple to the Ipsy's Glam Bags. I got Dorothy and Picnic vibes.

Thank you for reading another Full Face Review! See you next month. :)

Yours Truly,
Lizzeth Rodriguez

  1. I've been tempted to subscribed to Play by Sephora. I think that Boscia's Charcoal Pore Pudding Intensive Wash Off Treatment is convincing me even more. I love that treatment, continue using it you'll see results.
